Pete McKee’s ’22 Views of Sheffield’ exhibition was a show for his home city and those who grew up and live there. The paintings featured classic Sheffield landmarks from the Hole in the Road to Upstairs at Harringtons and was a celebration of Sheffield past and present. Pete was delighted to display the show at city centre bar and venue, The Bowery-
‘I'm a great believer in exhibiting my art in places where you can buy beer and the chance to do a show at The Bowery was an opportunity I couldn't refuse.
This is my first ever exhibition where every painting is about Sheffield and some of the topics require you to be born and bred here. The exhibition is a journey from the rose tinted 70's, through the neon 80's and ending in the shiny steel present.’
