Bowie Saved Me
Description
'For me it was Bowie. For someone else, it could have been Robert Smith, Ian Curtis, or another talented musician. What makes them special to you is that they communicate ideas and emotions through their music which allow you to transcend your environment. These artists take you out of your surroundings to a place where you feel yourself.
'I deliberately made the Bowie flash clumsy to reflect the reality of any young fan trying to emulate their hero. I think there’s something pure about naive and youthful imitation.'
