Definitely Penguin
Description
Taken from The Penguins Collection
You may ask yourself: “why has Pete recreated Oasis’ iconic Definitely Maybe album cover with a load of penguins?”. The answer to the question lies in the artist’s professional cartoonist roots before he became a painter. Pete used to create cartoons for greetings card companies, the Sheffield Telegraph, and A View from the East Bank – a Sheffield Wednesday fanzine. However, even when Pete stopped working as a cartoonist, he continued to sketch and draw doodles whenever inspiration hit. The artist began drawing a series of hilarious and adorable penguins as famous characters on beermats, paying homage to characters from some of his favourite films and bands – including Oasis!
